These were the words of young Ethel, a girl living in Malawi in the most desperately poor household. Her family slept on the hard floor, owned one set of clothing each and walked kilometres to reach school.

With 20 cents a day, her mother would cook a small pot of cassava and share it amongst the family, to last them until they could afford their next meal. 

Despite all this, Ethel’s letter to the world was to say Alhamdulillah…her life is fine.
